TOUR DATES

Moovin Festival

Dub Pistols are delighted to be making their debut at Moovin Festival in Preston
Having heard so many good things about the festival over the past few years Barry Ashworth said “its an honour to have been invited to join the line up and can’t wait to play this fantastic event”
Independent throughout and with a counter cultural feel and devotion to booking the freshest acts and performers, Moovin Festival is a laid back way to catch an eclectic mix of favourite acts as well as exciting new artists. It’s about making new mates and discovering new sounds; it’s a place to enjoy ethically sourced foods and cocktails, to try some holistic healing treatments and enjoy circus performers, festival fun and surprises to help you forget the outside world for a magical weekend.

So get Moovin, get your tickets and see you in the fields!

ABOUT MOOVIN

Moovin Festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend at the eco-friendly Whitebottom farm, Etherow Country Park in the stunning countryside in Compstall (Just 30 minutes from Manchester), you find it through a magical canopy of trees, past a lake with waterfowl greeting you, and a breathtaking gorge welcoming you at the entrance.

Whilst the line ups are big the capacity is limited as to keep it friendly and personal as we feel this is what makes our little festival special. Stages include the Barn Stage, a large open sided cow shed with bales of hay to relax and chill on, as well as sound systems throughout the site that are guaranteed to knock your festival wellies off.

Glastonbury Schedule

Its the big one this week, the festival of all festivals Glastonbury.
This year though we have decided we want to enjoy Glastonbury to the maximum and keep the shows to a minimum. So we have decided we will only 2 shows 1 a dj show in Honour of Barry’s hero Jo Strummer on Friday at 4pm till 5pm at the One Love takeover of Strummerville. Barry will drop an hours DJ set focusing on Reggae and exclusive tracks from the bands new album including a special Dub Pistols version of Bank Robber by the Clash feat Barry Ashworth & Seanie T on Vocals.

Then Friday evening its the big one with the full band show on the stage that has become the bands Glastonbury home The Glade MainStage from 8pm till 9pm.
To say the band are excited about being given such an amazing slot is an understatement. We can’t wait to play to all the people that have supported us there over all these years. See you down the front and lets get Mucky

Give Festival

Dub Pistols have been confirmed to headline this years Give Festival 2019.
The boys will play a live show on Saturday night and if that isn’t enough Barry will be dropping a special Disco set on Sunday in the tree House.

intro
COME – GIVE – LOVE
The freedom and intimacy of a private garden party – with the production value of a festival
3 Days of getting deeply connected in sensational Arcadian parkland, set amongst ancient oaks and stretched out along the banks of the river Avon

“Come together and become One; Think with an expanded mind, Feel with an expanded heart”

Group Photo – Saturday 17:00-18:00 In front of the House
Colour: EMERALD GREEN
REMEMBER: the theme and colour are more GUIDELINES than RULES – It’s a party – wear what you like – The more wild, weird, revealing and culturally diverse the better!

Theme: ‘Heart of the Forest’
Talking to Nick & Lucy Fothergill, the owners at Stanford Hall they gave us a fascinating insight into the Celtic tribes who once populated the lands on which Stanford now stands

Apparently it’s strategic significance at the heart of the country enabled the CORITANI people to trade with the Romans rather than be immediately annihilated

We liked the idea of the modern GIVE! tribe – who now use the land to celebrate unity – honouring the ancient tribe for whom this land was once home

With that in mind we’ve been working on a plan to decorate and develop the Woodland Shelter, nestled in the trees near the UV garden, to resemble a Coritani dwelling

Throughout the weekend Bards, Minstrels and Poets will be performing specially composed odes, rhymes and acoustic musical treats, with the occasional accompaniment of a pop-up mead bar

Bring NEW PEOPLE to GIVE!
Don’t be shy – New additions to the tribe keep things FRESH

Bring stuff to GIVE away . . .
Please bring a few small, thoughtful treats – bracelets, badges, crystals, sweets to give away to random people you meet over the weekend

GIVE & GET GIVE
Clean, funky clothes – to swap?

If your clothes no longer become you, they should be coming to us…

Too wide for your strides?
Too small for your dress?
Too pissed for your platforms?
Not looking your best?
One person’s fashion faux-pas is another person’s fashion delight…

Start thinking ‘spring cleaning’ and clear out your ‘beloved-no-longers’ ready for Give.

You know which ones they are and you know they’re going to look better on someone else – you never know what might replace them!

Pimp your camp
We’d like to encourage every group of friends to create something special at their camp; a structure or installation, flags, a shrine; anything, that gives you the chance to make something fun, beautiful or silly with the friends you’re camping with

Go Deeper
Got an idea for an ART INSTALLATION? Bring it to GIVE!

Maybe you already have a piece – Maybe you have a concept you’d like to build – or an area of the grounds, river or woods you’d like to unleash your creativity on
