Kaya Fyah announced as support

We are super excited to announce Kaya Fyahwill be joining us on our spring tour
Kaya Fyah British, South African, Jamaican, UK-based vocalist and and veteran of sound system culture. Raised in a Junglist household in North London, her musical experiences span diverse landscapes, including Canada, South Africa, New York, and her current residence in vibrant Brighton.
Fyah’s introduction to the stage at 13, alongside the Congo Natty Family, set the pace for her artistic journey. Blending singing, songwriting, and MCing with classic 94 amen breaks, resonating with the roots of Jungle, through to high energy DnB rollers, in a transcendent journey that is both soulful and weighty. Fyah creates a unique experience reflecting her multicultural background while raising the vibration of the dance.
Fyah’s growth is moving at pace with the release of her latest album ‘1994 – Born In The Jungle’, being backed by Jungle legends; Congo Natty, Ed Solo, Demolition Man, Top Cat & more.

Flex FM This Saturday

🌟 Throwback to the late 80s and 90s! Many of you know that I had the incredible opportunity to run club nights with my amazing friends Spencer Guainierer Stevie Lion, and Blaine. Under the banners of Naked Lunch, Vox Populi, Eat The Worm, and Monkey Drum, we took over venues like Cafe De Paris, Pacha (SW1 Club), Studio Valbonne, and Centre Point, among others. 🎶✨
Those nights were legendary, featuring some of the biggest DJs of our time. I still cherish the memories of those hedonistic days filled with music, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We even formed a band, aiming to be London’s answer to the Happy Mondays, and signed with Charlie Chester‘s Cowboy Records. We had a moderate hit with our cover of the Woodentops classic “Why Why Why,” but alas, we didn’t quite reach Madchester status before the band split.
This Saturday, I’m excited to reunite with the lads on their Spanglish Parties radio show on Flex FM from 10am to 12pm! 🎤 I’ll be catching up with them, reminiscing about the good old bad days, and doing a special guest mix.
