MC DARRISON TO FEATURE ON NEW ALBUM

906342_556502_X_2012080716170409461Dub Pistols have been recording a new song with Mc Darrison that will feature on the bands new album due for release late 2013.

Darrison also featured on the bands last album “Worshiping The dollar” and is a legend on the Drum and Bass scene where he has recorded songs with artist such as DJ Fresh, Ed Solo & Deekline, Netsky

MC Darrison, born Daniel Harrison, resides in Brighton UK, and has been a lyricist since the age of 13.
First performing with a Reggae sound system by the name of King Tafari Love, Darrison was originally known by many as Ragga D in the early days of his career.

The name Darrison only came about whilst on the coded Language Tour with Singer Morgan, DJ Krust, and DJ Suv.

In the mid to late nineties, Darrison became involved with south coast pioneers, the Pressure Krew, who consisted of DJ Quantum, DJ Skinny aka Nu Balance, and Rok One.
The first jungle Party that Darrison performed at, was Quantums night at the Factory night club in Worthing, alonside Krome and Time, the Pressure Krew, Mc Gee, as well as Junior Dan.
After this night Darrison was invited to become resident at Steppaz Convention, a weekly jungle night at the Beachcomber Club in Brighton which would lead on to become one of the most successful nights on the south coast.
A Tape that was recorded live at the club for Radio One’s, 1 in the Jungle show, was sent to America to some party promoters. On the strength of this Darrison was asked to go to the USA for a month to play a string of parties around the Tri State area

EARL 16 IN SESSION

45377_10200872425399640_2057601813_nThe Dub Pistols where today joined by reggae  legend Earl 16, Earl laid down 2 tracks to feature on the bands forthcoming 6th album due for release on Sunday Best later in 2013

Earl worked briefly with King Jammy and In the 1990s he made guest appearances on tracks by Leftfield. He is one of the two vocalists for the UK electronica/reggae band Dreadzone, who he has been with since 1995.

DUB PISTOLS CONFIRMED TO PLAY LOUNGE ON THE FARM FESTIVAL

Lounge on the Farm was born in 2006 out of the desire to bring a unique slant to the UK summer festival market, and provide an event that promoted many performers, musicians, traders and creative talents. It has been going from strength to strength ever since, winning “Best Line Up” at the 2009 UK Festival Awards and the “Sustainability” award in both 2008 and again in 2011 at the Greener Festival Awards.

The gorgeous landscape of Merton Farm on which the festival is situated combines the very best elements for the ultimate British Summertime.

DUB PISTOLS WIN INTERNATIONAL AWARD

breakspoll-logoThe Dub Pistols picked up their second best live act award on saturday night @ The International Breakspoll Awards held

at Londons Cable Nightclub. The Dub Pistols where shortlisted in 3 categories Best Live act, best album “Worshipping the dollar” and best DJ. This is the bands second award in as many years having picked up DJ magazines best live act at their “Best Of British” awards 2012.

Collecting the award on behalf of the band where, Barry Ashworth, Jack Cowens, Tim Hutton & Dave Budgen. Dave said winning any award is always a great honour and that this was even more special after such a fantastic 2012.
